** Provided the battery is charged and the phone plugged into the Straight Talk Wireless Home Phone device does not require an external power source. So maybe no car needed... |

â€_If you are not satisfied with your device, simply return it to us within 30 days and we will replace it or give you your money back. It's that simple. Straight Talk Service Cards, and /or or unused minutes are non-refundable. It takes up to 30 business days to process the return and credit your account. Credit for returned phones and/or accessories will appear on your credit card statement between 1-2 billing cycles.

SO they replace your landline (thing on a wooden or steel utility pole that is a wire into your house) with a Router/ Cell phone server device and port your number (switch carriers: Landline company to Cell company) What handset do you use with this? Is it Pink?

Just got the Verizon version of this to replace a landline, saving about $15/month. The Verizon version (this is the same unit, and the service is probably on Verizon) costs $20/month, but the device is free with a two-year contract, so this isn't really that slick, since the $5 difference over two years is $120, versus $100 for the StraightTalk unit (although 20 bucks is 20 bucks).
Basically, you just plug your existing home phones (corded or cordless) into the back of the unit, and then use it like you always have, except instead of the calls going out over wire, they go out over the cellular network. You still get a dial tone, and the unit has a GPS in it for reporting your location to 911. Its actually pretty cool! I think its actually pretty significant in that it could be the final blow to the landline providers, and also the harbinger of cellular-delivered internet and TV programming (please somebody give cable some competition!) |
