this is great paste. on my coolers (xigmatek gaia, corsai cafa50) it is even better than arctic silver 5. Lowered the temps on my i5 2500k by about 2c under load.
oh and 1 small tube gets about 2 hdt heatsink applications when applied properly. . Great rebate Companies:
Patriot Memory (4myrebate.com): 6 Weeks Tiger Direct (4myrebate): 3 weeks Rain-X (in house): 3 weeks BAD BAD MAIL IN REBATE COMPANIES: Xigmatek 26 weeks, 14 emails, 2 phone calls (finally received) NZXT 21 weeks, 4 phone calls. Check that was finally received was dated 2 months earlier with a 90 day expiration on it, giving me about 25 days to cash it. Shady shady shady. |

Use paypal they had a credit card problem back in the day.

What method are you using to apply this stuff? On the HDT heatsinks, I usually first fill in the crevices between the pipes on the heatsink block/manifold. Then, I usually apply a small coat on the CPU or simply do the two pieces of rice method. How are you doing it? Soar |

Thanks for those pics. That is exactly how I have been preparing the Hyper 212+. Now, after reading your picture post, I see it appears to be the best method. I will continue to use that method. Ok, but can you explain why the CM 200mm fan with sleeve bearings does so well in a horizontally configured mount? I have always heard that fans with sleeve bearings should never be mounted horizontally! Soar |
