Do they put your name on the card? Is it registered to your address?

Would like to use these to "verify" my girlfriends paypal account. Can I gift it to her? Or put her name on the card?

Yes, citi codes these purchases as a cash advance. Any financial institution will be charged that way with citi unfortunately

worst customer service ever how do I attach an address? Their system is terrible.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER. Must register over the phone. REALLY? Can't even keep up with Visa.

Waste of time for this terrible card. Don't buy to put to serve, you'll have to call and register your damn address, unlike Visa where you can just enter it online. No wonder amex is going down.

Can you give some examples? I've used many types of Citi on Amazon Payment and Serve and never been coded as CA. For that matter, wouldn't buying these type of GCs at supermarket, drugstore, office supplies, etc be any different?

Unfortunately, I can't verify Citi w/ this deal since I'll be using Chase SWA to get companion pass before the end of the yr.

It all depends how the merchant is coded by Citi's system. If it is coded as a "financial institution" (aka a bank such as amex) then it will automatically be charged as a cash advance.

Amazon must be charged as a retailer or anything other than a financial institution. Same with serve.

Hope this helps to avoid a fee!

Thanks, it looks like I got cashback from FW.. When I went through their cashback portal I couldn't get the codes to work for free shipping, then I just clicked the link in the OP and used the codes and the free shipping codes worked.. I wasn't sure if I would the cash back or not, but it looks like I did..
