What they don't get is:
I won't buy things to flip on eBay because it's too hard to make money now.
And if I don't buy and flip on eBay, amazon and eBay make less money as do I.
If eBay and amazon make less money, they pay less in taxes.
In addition, I buy less other items because I have less money.
In addition, if eBay and amazon make less money, then they lay off people.
People that get laid off don't pay taxes, they get unemployment from the state.
So now the state gets less in taxes, pays more in benefits and goes more in the hole.

I got this for my daughter's birthday last year. It's cute, but it not nearly as cute in person as in the videos. The motor that drives the kitty is quite loud, and the online videos are always shot at the perfect angle so you don't realize how much of the mechanical innards you can see when the cat's paw comes out.
