Step 2: Go here and do what they say http://forum.xda-developers.com/s...?t=1431967 It'll give you Google Apps Market, not Google Play, which is an older version that doesn't have all the newer apps listed. However, you can still use Google Play through the tablet or a computer browser and send it to the generic "phone" device after you register your Google Account. It took me about 2 hours to root it while watching Netflix (on another device) the whole time. So it shouldn't be too troublesome. As far as Apps, I highly recommend the Dolphin [Mini] Browser (the HD version is good too), Skype 2.5.4.21.162 (newest version I could get to work), Hulu (or Hulu+), and Netflix. Some of these require downloading an "apk" file and putting it on a flash stick. Btw, did you know you can just attach a USB keyboard to the Elocity A7+ to save time while typing? Let me know if you have any questions. I recently ordered a second and sold this fixed-up rooted one off to a friend for his son's birthday. |

This or the Dell streak 7, as a gift for my nephew (6 year old). Price for the A1 is $117 now with tax, dell streak is 118. Dell streak has better graphics (tegra 2) but lower screen res.
Don't forget to rep the people that help you. System: i5 2500K@4.2; MSI P67; 2x4GB DDR1600; Asus 5850; Corsair HX520 PSU |

I got mine yesterday, and it was in a great condition. To upgrade to ICS, I followed these simple instructions:

|
BTW: (After you upgraded to ICS, did you do the OTA system update? I heard that there was some problem with the update in that you won't be able to see the three navigation buttons.) |

|
I used the same instructions, as far as app data the thing was brand new to me so there was no app data, I did the OTA update, I knew about losing the buttons....Just curious, I dont really miss the buttons, they dont seem needed anyways since the tab has its own, why would I need software buttons.....
