I'm trying to figure out why this Shuttle is considered such a good deal.
I can get a FoxConn barebone from Newegg for $100: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Pro...6856119066 (Yes, shipping is $14, but free if you have ShopRunner); I can get the G630 at my local microcenter for $50: http://www.microcenter.com/produc..._Processor $35 less, slightly better processor. Can someone clue me in? |

Also not all of us have a MicroCenter near us (us unlucky people in South Florida don't have Fry's either, just TigerDirect/CompUSA!)

The Shuttle case is much smaller than that Foxconn unit, we're talking around 64% smaller volume wise. Thats probably the biggest reason for the price disparity. |

Can I use 12VDC or 24 VDC power supplies? They have a DC-DC daughter card on the mobo. Wonder if anyone has info. on that DC-DC converter? TIA

Endgadget uses dvrmstoolbox and that's what I did. If you set both to watch it can cause Showanalyzer to crash. |

I bought one to run all of my "background programs" I am currently using my destop for. Monitoring my 10 securirty camera, my insteon network and a few other things. For the price, can't go wrong AND IT IS A PUNY THING!

I am looking to build my own network-based storage which I can stuff away in a remote corner,
with FreeBSD and connected with a GbE. I'll need at least 3 drive bays in it. Does this have 3 bays? Or are there any other small FF cases which do? |
