Ok, part of my job is to rename photos, thousands of them. I need a way to rename them quickly without clicking individual photos to rename. For example, they are sent over to me with thier id number like this DC123-45678 I then take that number and add the firt name to it so that it looks like this: Adam DC123-45678. Is thier a software that i can use to merge the first names onto the file names of each photo without typing each one?
This need to be ongoing. I get an updated photo for each person a few times a year so i have to rename it to add the first names. What can i do to make this go quickly?
I need something that I can take a folder with all the names, and then another folder with all the numbers and merge them to have the name and number together for each photo

I used something by the name of "Batch File Renamer" before and it did what I wanted. Appending a name to the front of a file could also be done with a .bat file if you have any wish to learn some dos scripting.
Put this into a text file in the folder with the pictures and rename the extension to .bat
for %%j in (*.jpg) do (
rename !filename! "Bill !filename!"
Change the word Bill to Adam or whatever you want. Also change the path in the first line. Simple and ugly, but if it is all you need enjoy. I am also assuming they are jpg's on line 3, change that if you need to.
