I've been contemplating these for the past 2 days. I have the AD700's which I love for the huge sound stage and I don't have a problem with the bass they put out (after some EQing) which I have heard other people say was weak. So I don't know if it is worth spending $110 dollars to get a shallower sound stage but bigger bass. But oh how I want to try them...

My pair just got delivered a few minutes ago and the headphone's retail box doesn't appear to have any evidence that it was ever opened; in fact it was very hard to get the top flap open. I am kind of thinking that their definition of open box is similar to Logitech's idea of "dented box". Obviously I can't say much about the headphones since I've barely had any time to use them but they definitely do have a lot of bass.
Overall I am very satisfied with my transaction with SoundProfessionals.com. Product condition was above what I was expecting and they were very quick at getting my order shipped. Good deal. [e]While these headphones are fairly enjoyable, I find the AD700s a bit easier to listen to but for $99 these are pretty decent. I just miss the open sound of the AD700s, but the bass is definitely much heavier on the M50s. Take that as good or bad. Last edited by cjhatesu; 10-11-2012 at 08:23 PM.. |
