AT&T Keeps Unlimited Data for Grandfathered Plans with iPhone 5

AT&T's site still doesn't work for me, so I ordered my wife's new phone through Apple.

Unlimited data for her. She doesn't use Facetime nor does she spend so much data that AT&T has ever throttled her, so she's good to go.

The 4s had throttled speeds at Edge. We do not if the 5 will have throttled speeds at Edge or 3g. I'm sure At&t will keep edge.

Anyone know if I get the phone at Best Buy, but I am a grandfathered AT&T unlimited customer if I can still retain the unlimited data plan?

I pre-registered our iPhone 4 with them so we get that $50 gift card back.

Through BestBuy you have to buy a new line and call ATT to move the new line to your existing number and cancel the new line to keep your unlimited data plan intact.

I checked today and they said it cant be done unless they remove unlimited data plan. So I didnt proceed further.

Well, I just upgraded one of our grandfathered iPhone lines. Figured I'd swap my Unlocked 4S for the AT&T 5 for now since it's essentially the same price (w/ early upgrade fee).

The other one, I think it sounds worth foregoing the Best Buy $50 card and just upgrading at AT&T or Apple in person.

I get throttled at 3GB a lot on my 4S which is annoying, but I'm hoping that with my type of usage the 5GB throttle will be enough.

Is this just for the iphone 5? I upgraded earlier this year and was able to keep my grandfathered plan. I did it through BestBuy.com and picked up instore.

even IF I buy the Iphone 5 or 10 still get speeds 1g at home. one bar.

IQuestion I have a dump phone in my att family plan, can i freeeze the line without charges.

I currently have a ATT iPhone 4 with ATT, with only 1 month left on my contract. It come with unlimited data plan also, which I will be granfathered when I upgrade to the iphone 5.

Is it possible to sell my contract to my friend? Will selling my contract over to my friend extend the contract for another 2 years? Will my friend be eligible for an upgrade to iPhone 5 when I transfer it to him?

I don't think you can sell your contract legitly. You can keep it, but all your information will still be tagged on the account

Went to preorder today and you do not have to get a new line. Your grandfathered plan will switch right over no problems.
