They didnt mention anything about a preorder limit. But they did say that my sku number would say 1 because its a new product and i think they opened orders up early to get ahead of everyone.

Guess the limit of 2 for GS is YMMV so far. It's cool. Gonna head to TRU or BB tomorrow to get a 2nd preorder for me. I don't believe those 2 retailers (or any chain retailers) did preorders for the Xbox 360, PS3, or Wii so I'm pretty happy with this. No camping out in the cold for me this holiday.

Note: From reading around here and other articles, Amazon may not be selling the WiiU. Didn't know they aren't selling the 3DS or Wii anymore either. Seems they're in a dispute w/ Nintendo. If you're planning on preordering from them to save on gas and taxes, I'd have a back up preorder from the other retailers.

Online the order limit is one per sku. But when I went into the store, they read through the "press release" and told me there was no limit in store- that I could preorder 5 of one sku if I wanted. I was still a little weary that it may result in canceled orders as you suggested, so I just did one of each to be on the safe side. I also have one of each coming from BB and one $350 version coming from TRU. Gotta finance this system somehow! lol

Why are you people so sure that you can flip Wii u for profit? Wii was revolutionary. But Wii u? It seems like a small upgrade to Wii and the price point is the only attractive part.

Personally, I don't get all the skepticism...I view the second screen as logical evolution of gaming (which is how Nintendo is spinning it). With all the second screens in our daily lives (smartphones/tablets etc., I think it is obvious that this system will work.

How often do you watch TV without checking your phone or laptop or tablet?

I think that's been there a while. If you want one, I wouldn't wait around on Amazon. They haven't sold any Nintendo systems for quite some time.

will these have a high resale value like the nintendo wii did at launch causing a shortage
