I don't get all the fuss about Wii U. It have very weak launch titles.
Just wait until Spring or Summer 2013 when it will come pre-patch with the new firmware, and also get exclusives such as Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, etc.
As of right now, it doesn't really make sense to hunt one down or pay the premium for it, if you already have a Wii or any other consoles.
I think the titles suffice for short term. BLOPS2-NSMBU-ZombieU... I doubt the price will drop for a while and some of us within the modding community would rather have a pre-patched version with newer firmware.
One of the AWESOME attributes this console has is the gamepad can be used at home just like a 3DS/Vita.
Well I stopped by a nearby Best Buy today a little after lunchtime. In the video game section they had about a dozen unboxed shipping boxes of Wii Us--2 per shipping box. I saw that many were standard units, so asked out of curiousity if they had Deluxes, which they did (unsure how many). The guy said they just got the shipment, and he already sold like 4 of them. He said they had no idea they would be getting them today, and that they've been told they won't have any more until next year. I doubt they won't get any more until next year. I think Nintendo will keep trickling these things out regularly. Just little enough so they don't sit on shelves, but enough that people will be able to find one in a retail store without too much difficulty. That's like the perfect balance for achieving maximum sales.
I just went to two Targets, one Walmart and Best Buy and all are out of stock here in metro ATL. Also I just sold another one from CL for $440 cash. I wish I could find some more today and add to inventory, which is running low.
I've got to say that you must be crazy if your selling yours before black friday. People haven't realized yet that they can't have it. When they do, by golly they will be damned if they can't get one. Don't tell a person making 50,000+what they can or cant have for their kids, its more of a pride thing.
Waiting to double by money, receipts in hand.
I don't disagree with your strategy. I bet demand really will spike this weekend and in early Dec. That's why I'm trying to find some more to buy at retail but not having any success.
Calling me names on the internet doesn't change the fact that you're a douchebag scalper.
Scalpers will go to heaven and you will go to that other place.
And I don't know how you guys are finding so many Wii Deluxes around. Although truthfully I'm sure hundreds are reading this thread and only a few are finding some I can only help my luck will be better tomorrow.

Hey sorry to interrupt this thread with someone who is actually using the console, but is anyone else finding pretty severe back light bleeding on the game pad? Just like most back light issues, it only shows on a dark screen and turning down the brightness helps it a bit. Mine is on most of the top left side.
Just wondering if this worth my time to exchange or if all game pads have some variation of this? I think it was pretty prevalent on the other Nintendo handhelds, but not seeing anything out there on the web for the Wii U yet.
Nobacklight bleed. Gamepad Rattle bothers me only.

What is your fascination with hell? You should seek professional help. I'm sure there's a special hell reserved for scumbag scalpers where you guys spend all your time trying to make $20 off a deal, and brag about it to each other all day long. Oh wait, that's called reality. Your life sucks.
