Thanks.....but what makes one store value the item at $38 and another value the item at $11....imho there shouldn't be that much discrepancy....it kind of makes the whole thing bogus when people see that, as in where is the truth and real value to compare and know.

Don't confuse "value", which is what folks are willing to pay for something, with "price" which is what the store chooses to sell it for. Price has a lot more to do with the stores needs than the value of an item, otherwise clearance pricing wouldn't exist. Stores "clearance" things to get the shelf, literally, cleared off to make room for something else.

They often lose money on clearance items, but less than they would lose throwing the stuff away or even trying to ship it somewhere else and sell it.

The really surprising thing is that pricing at most big stores is mostly the same. There can be huge differences in the costs to run a store from location to location. Rents and labor might be high in a fancy area, low in a low income area, that sort of thing. Transportation costs are much higher for places out in the country or the center of the nation than they are at major port cities like New York and Houston. And so on. A visible example of this is the cost of gas.

When you look at things that aren't in ads, Target, Walmart, shoot, even Costco will vary prices location to location.

It measures changes in temp. It is used to help determine Poorly insulated areas, drafts, etc... Anything that could be hurting your home heating and cooling efficiency. It is pretty much just a slightly modified non-contact thermometer.

Nope it detects through wood, Infrared detects at the surface, This tells you what your walls temps are, Gas leaks Etc By temp changes and alerts you. It does the job. Infrared thermo is a bit different in the way it reads the surface temp.

Went to Dublin, OH store to get one......when I asked for this item or anything similar, all three employees were beyond confused that such a thing exists.

Needless to say, did not have it nor anywhere within 50 miles of Columbus.

3 Available in Dayton TN as of right now AND it's 50% off extra for a total of $4.38+tax. Not worth the 28 miles drive for me. :-P Good luck

If only this was true. It is basically an infrared thermometer that you can set to detect differences in surface temp.

Had at my store for normal price of $23. Had them call another store that showed stock and they had it for $10. My store matched price. Not as good as $7.25, but for $10.00, I bit.
