Ah so there it is i never got emailed when I got the spit kit at all, or before it was sent. And when I inquired they never said anything about the 3 week processing, they just said they would do it ASAP.

Thanks for the information! now I have to figure out why I never got the email

Your survey is given an ID#, and a spit kit is mailed out if you meet the study criteria. As soon as the label is printed, your name and address is scrubbed from their server, leaving only the ID# which is also present on the kit. You mail back the kit and they link the genetic results to your ID# and survey results.

I'm not worried about that part, I am more concerned with what happens to your saliva after that? Sorry, don't trust that my personal DNA makeup won't be put into some database to be used for other things.You all can do it all you want, I tend to value my DNA more than a $30 GC.

Because HIPPA says they can't. These are university research scientists who want to keep their funding. They're not going to violate basic HIPPA restrictions and risk losing funding and accreditation.

I know about HIPPA I used to work in health care, just stating my opinion, I don't trust it. There are always breaches and data gets stolen....sorry, most universities are tied to the government in some level, not something I want to risk. Just how I feel, I don't even sign into YouTube anymore because of how Google is connected to the Obama Admin. and links your information together. I just don't give out my info that freely anymore.

So did I haha, they finally got back to me and said:

I went back and checked every email on october 1st and didn't find anything though.

Looks like you'll have to email them like everyone else.

I sent them one this morning and eight hours later received the same basic reply that looks like everyone has been getting.

No such email was received today but whatever. Now to see how long it will take to get the GC.
