unemployment rate

So you are OK with the gov't in the future if they decide the deceitfully change the way they calculate the unemployment number to make the number better than it actually is.

What would the average American think if the gov't reported that unemployment today is 15%? Think more people might be upset and demand some sort of action from our elected (public servant) officials?

Since we are suppose to have a democracy, (for the people crap), is it OK for the gov't to deceive the citizens? Why not manipulate every stat that makes matters appear worse than it really is? Why not tell the American people the debt is only $5 Trillion, instead of $16T (or is 16 the actual # or have the manipulated that as well)?

It's not really deceit when anyone who cares can find out what happened.
