Delta gold Skymile - 70,000miles and 100 statement credit after 5000 in 6 months

i have 110k delta miles accumulated over the years and they're almost impossible to use. There's never any low level award that actually stays true the award chart. It's always requires 50% more miles than what the award chart says.

Delta CS is the worst when it comes to award booking. They'll NEVER be able to find any partner availability. The site is glitchy and never works. Basically you'll have to call in to check availability on a lot of partners, and even when you found that partners actually have availability using KVS or EF, Delta CS won't see them and so they can't book for you. There are a few things you can do but you'll require a great deal of effort from the Delta CS, which most of times won't happen, and even then a lot of luck to be able to use Delta miles.

Anyone took a screenshot of the offer?? I need to do a match as I applied for the same card two weeks ago..

I've never used Skymiles before, but I found plenty of nonstop flights from Atlanta to London for 60k miles. Seems like a good deal to me considering if I chose the "Pay with Miles" option, that would only cover $600 of the flight.

Worst case, your 70k miles can get you $700 worth of flights.

Mine took about 3 days, but I noticed I ex-delta gold, miles posted on 24 of the month.. No sure that make my miles posted cycle on 24 of the month. And my new delta gold cycle end 8 of the month now. Will see next month after my statement end on the 8th and how long it will take to post my spending miles.

Anyway..
Card 1 = purchased on sept 21/ 25,000 miles posted sept 23
Card 2 = purchased on sept 22/ 25,000 miles posted sept 24


* usually miles posted a day after the statement end.

FYI,
Hit $5000 by OCT 1, 2012 and received 45000 miles on Oct 7, 2012.
Statement close by end Oct 8, 2012.

Seem like the bonus miles will be posted few days or a week after the $ required spending.

Yes, the statement credit of $100.00 is applicable for any purchase made within the first 92 days of your Cardmembership. It is not necessary to be a Delta flight purchase.

Would love an answer to this, how do I get the $100 statement credit?

No $100 credit yet, I have not spend it on any delta purchase yet. Will report once I see it posted on my acct.

I was a Northwest Flyer for years, and very happy. Got dumped into the Delta gold Card program when they merged. Delta and American Express are terrible. With Northwest I have been able to fly to Europe three times for virtually free (taxes), and bumped to first class. Since their merger I have been unable to book one flight even domestically. Don't plan on going anywhere with your spouse, because if there is an award seat on the plane, there will only be one.
