They're probably clearing out these models before they release their new ones sometime very soon.

You are probably correct. Same price at the Sole website:
http://www.soletreadmills.com/

May be better to buy it off Amazon for the customer service though.

I was actually going to buy an F80 but I contacted Sole and asked sales if new models were coming out and he confirmed that they might this month Smilie

What would the new model offer (at $500 more) that this one doesn't?

I'm having a tough time figuring out if this is actually the best option at the $1k price point. I played with it a little at Sears and the deck didn't seem very comfortable-- seemed very rigid with little cushion. Reviews overall are pretty good but the few negative reviews make some good points. The last treadmill I bought was in 2003, we figure my wife and I put 5000-6000 miles on it (metal fatigue-- where the roller was connected into the frame failed) so this is a serious purchase in our household.

I like an opinion on this price range also. I am having problems deciding from the following:

Sole F80
Precor 9.23
Livestrong 13.0T
Epic A30T

All have about the same price point. I believe all have about the same warranty. For the runners out there, please let us know your opinion.

The difference in the two F80 models:
-the new belt is 22" X 60" vs 20" X 60"
-the motor is 3.5 CHP vs 3.0 CHP

Not worth $500 IMO.

wife has been wanting a treadmill for last few weeks mainly for walking and light running. I did purchase a Sears floor model treadmill, reviews are solid on it, but forums are hit miss.

Its the NordicTrack C 900 Treadmill
Purchased out the door at $425
Floor model excellent condition,

Still havent picked it up though, undecided on if we should purchase it or look for a higher end model used on craigslist. I'll probably use it as well for interval training (run/walk) I'm at 215lbs,

The 2013 model is only $300 more right now. Not a bad price on Sole's website.$1350.
