I have seen very mixed reviews... do you have to play online to really enjoy the game or is it ok to play by yourself?

But like the above poster said, very very mixed reviews on this. Considering you get both I and II in this package that makes it $7 a pop. Decisions decisions... |

I picked this up a few months back...not very impressed. I gave it a shot despite the rough ratings and I just couldn't get into it. The story and gameplay are pretty generic. Sort of a disappointment.

I'm gonna pass. It sounds umm sort of like an ok game. I usually ignore reviews where they're frothing at the mouth with hate but this sounds exceptionally grindy and frankly I'm too old and too busy to grind that much just to get to the enjoyable parts.

I bought the game for 20, played for maybe 20 minutes then stopped
there's absolutely nothing good going for the game can't even sell it on craigslist for 10 and i've had it up for over 2 months |

Reason you can't sell it is because of the stupid online pass on the back of the booklet you redeem to play online. When someone buys a used copy they have to buy a new code for $20 if they want to play online. So as you can see why buy a used copy for $10 then still have to pay $20 more for the pass when you can get the game new for under $30

so if you're not into online gaming (like me, couldn't care less) then don't enter the code and when you resell it, you can sell it as 'almost new' including the still valid online code.
