I agree too. I have this at work and the Dell u3011 at home and can notice a difference. I'd go with the Dell if you can find a deal and need a monitor in this class. The OSD and inputs are nice.

That said, the Dell comes with a slightly worse dead pixel policy/warranty. I know this is anecdotal but I have sent back 2 out 21 U3011s at work in the last year.

Actually that's not a good comparison.

A pocket camera is nothing compared to a DSLR but a cheap Korean monitor has some features of the expensive versions.

Have they made any new 30" + monitors yet? I feel as if this technology comes out slowly I use a 32" Sharp Aquous I paid 1500$ 5 years ago and was the best at the time for a monitor although it's a TV the specs were very similar.

They have QFHD HDTVs around that size but they are super expensive.

Too late bought Dell U3011 two days ago for 1070 on Amazon

I would recommend saving PDF copies and printing out the webpage showing the total price of $900 after rebate.

A few of us, myself included, had a great deal of trouble getting MacMall to honor a $50 rebate on the HP zr24w series.

Thanks for the pic. I am still working on building up my home office, but definitely something worth considering.

I own this monitor and love it. Will never go back to 1080p.

That's pretty much it, only with one less side screen. It's so nice how it matches perfectly. Something you can't do with the 27" 2560x1440 widescreen monitors.

But the Korean monitor uses the exact same panel as the Thunderbolt display. LG makes it for Apple. So I don't think you're comparison is fair.

got one, thanks! My Samsung SyncMaster 245bw, (1920x1200) has got a big streak of dead pixels in the left 1/3 of the screen, after 4 years of good use.

Hopefully I can fit this one AND a 22" Dell Multitouch monitor And a Viewsonic 19" (4:3), (7 years almost and still going strong). I think I going to put the Dell all the way down on the right, in front of the 19"...will see.

Any Vesa mounts for the 30"? I'd like to clear up deskspace as much as possible.
