Thank you. I removed the comment "/etc/init.d/hbmgr.sh start", and it's working.
What app I should install now? Now this thing screams.
What's your purpose for purchasing this? If it's just for fun and see what it can do, then it's basically a headless linux box with low power consumption and limited hardware spec.
One of the uses for mine is that I use it as a test web server for php/python/sql coding before I upload the files to the public. Since it's on 24/7 I use it as my file sharing/download/print/backup server with 9TB storage space from 3 external drives(plus a 16GB SSD for OS). I also have minidlna and mediatomb on it for media file indexing. It's actually the busiest computer in the house that provides the best C/P ratio.
I tried to install SAMBA, and got an error 'no space.....'. I think there is not enough space in root.
How can I uninstall unfinished app. I used ipkg install samba2.
Is there a way to install on USB/external drive attached to pogoplug? Thanks.
FYI, I can't find the link for installation. I have Archlinux and optware running successfully.
google "samba arch" and you get samba installation instruction.
IMO arch linux has pretty much everything anyone needs. You probably will have to address that no space issue soon before you can get samba working. Check the samba error log for the exact error message. How much space did you give root ("/") when you do the partitioning?
