Here's how to deal with the SNAFU:
Skip the whole "File a Claim" with Amazon. They will just route an automated message to the Third Party seller (Petco), and it will be rejected, as others have stated. Get your order number ready. On your packing list it is just under the "Carton#" and listed as "Pkt#". Call Petco's customer service (via Timbuktu) at 1-877-287-3826. When the Robovoice starts, hit 2. They will ask for your order #, which you can then punch in. Pretty soon you will get Rashad on the phone, only his name will be "Logan" to make you more comfortable with the whole experience. He will actually be helpful and efficient, and they will tell you they are sorry, the issue with Amazon has been corrected on the website (which is actually not correct), and they will issue you a full refund of payment and shipping, which you can expect to ring up on your Amazon account in about 5 days. And as a one-time courtesy for your trouble, you can keep the 4 dog treats that FedEx dropped at your door this morning. |

Thanks for the info. I just called and got the refund. Only part you missed was the perky country-rock music you get to listen to while on hold! |

The message I sent to Petco via Amazon system appently went through, even though Amazon said it did not. Because I received this e-mail an hour ago... Dear MrHalliday, We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We have checked your order and found out that we have a product description mismatch between our website and Amazon’s website. Our company is now working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. In this regard, we could only offer processing a refund back to the buyer's account. The buyer may just keep the item/s he received originally since processing a replacement would only entail the buyer in receiving the same incorrect item/s. You shall receive an email confirmation of this refund within 24-48 hours. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Sincerely, Customer Relations Coordinator ETA: received another email confirming refund. The lamb's ear is rather tasty, really.... Last edited by MrHalliday; 09-20-2012 at 08:35 PM.. |

To others that go this route: I suggest that you specifically request a confirmation email regarding the refund be sent to you. (Originally, I didn't get a confirmation email from them after talking to Petco's customer service. I had to call them back up to ask for the confirmation.) |

Only one of my dogs like the trachea (still haven't received the lamb ears) BUT she chewed it pretty viciously and swallowed some not-so-small chunks. Should I be worried? I have never given dogs anything like this before, I know rawhide can cause obstructions but what about these?
