A prepaid card can be used tax free (ie: on groceries, etc.). I agree with the poster who says it's the same thing. What does it matter if you put the funds into your personal checking account before you spend them or not?

Furthermore, if you use a coupon to drop the price to $16.99, then send off the $20 rebate, it's less than free after rebate - tax (or double tax ) included, you still come out ahead.

I do agree with you that someone needs to lighten up here though. Enjoy paying for your oil while the rest of us get ours FAR. Rebates FTW.

If you take the time to read what was posted, it is a rebate in the form of a $20 O'Reilly Auto Parts gift card for purchasing either Nextgen conventional or Nextgen MaxLife oil. I have no use for it or that type of oil. If you do, that's wonderful for you.
