Someone in onesaleaday thread said it's the new version which the description matches has stronger 1 A output, but they may have used a photo of the older version.

Thank you. Been looking for one for my phone for say Black Friday. I want to be able to have my phone standby for all nite. My moto triumph like to die quick so this way it can stay on for alot more and maybe I wont miss an online deal while im shopping on the streets!

Not sure what you mean about the 12oz, weight of the unit itself? im not sure.

And based on the 8400mAh and the 2A/5v + 1V/5v outputs, I must say for $35 shipped its a great deal. I was recommended this other unit that was ~7000mAh and had (2x) 1V/5v outputs and that cost $40 without shipping. After reading that Anker is reliable from this thread I bought one.

Well I hope it works and its a decent build, not a piece of crap from china lol.

I really hope this is the upgraded version or returned it will be

More than 100 5 star amazon reviews seems to indicate it does what it promised. For those students, travelers and parents on the go this seem like an option.

I'm always running around in and out of the car, running to meetings. Always talking on and using my phone. I have a few phone batteries and charging docs so can make it days. My collegues with iphones dont have this option and they hate big expensive extended battery case.

This allows you to charge it while in your bag when away from car and no need to fight the 5 other iphone users for the 1 free outlet in the conf room.

How do you spot the blackberry user in a meeting? They're the only only that just walks in and sits down. Iphone and most android users look for a plug first.

Interesting...I looked at the Anker website. It does not list the ipad as a compatible item. It does list their laptop line as being comparable to ibook, macboook, macbook 13inch, powerbook, powerbook g4 12 inch and powerbook g4 15 inch. Apple phone is not listed on their list of cellphone line compatibles at all.

any confirmation that it is the upgraded version?
