I'm not usually a big fan of these types of games. But this one is great It really draws you in, and there's some really tense moments too.

dont expect this to be some action shooting game its more of a click adventure, but it has a very good story. Episodes 3 out of the 5 are now and they patch the game when they release new updates. Very worth the $15. The decisions you make will affect the games story, certain people die in some players games, they dont in others etc.

Not trying to thread crap, but I feel compelled to warn you that there is a good chance this game might not run on your system due to some inexplicable reasons. Just take a peek at the telltale and steam support forums.

I really loved this game. But the release of ep3 seems to have broken it for alot of players with no fix in sight.

Awesome game. Just be sure to read a review or two and make sure you understand what you're buying.

Hear great things about this game, trying really hard to point my purchases to consoles right now though. Gaming compy is dying and I don't want to drop another 800 bucks ha.

I'm glad you said it. I kept seeing the trailers on STEAM and I was thinking, "Where is a game in this?" I also HATE "press the button at the right time" games. Even at $15, I can't see myself getting it. I'm not saying it's not a deal. It is a deal but..I love the show but I'll stick to my Skyrim and LOTR War in the North.

This is a great game. I have played all three eps and loved them. Great story and yes your choices matter, it is a press the button at the right moment, but tells a great sory! big fan of the game!

How far into the series does each episode go? FYI, I'm personally just watching the series, not reading the comics. Would there be spoilers considering this?

There would be no spoilers at all. The game is set in the comic universe. You'll see references to some of the major characters in the show but nothing that would spoil anything.

Nice deal, about the same price as the Steam Summer Sale.

You have to make a pretty major choice at the beginning of episode 3 that will probably have major implications moving forwards. It's a very WTF moment.

This isn't a very happy game for me. You'll often have to choose between bad and worse alternatives, and your decisions may not shake out the way you anticipated. I didn't see it mentioned here but at the end of each episode the game will give you a breakdown of how other players dealt with situations so you can compare your own actions (like in Catherine).

I don't think it's a fair comparison. Both are about survival but DayZ is more of a survival simulator and this is more of a narrative-driven game where you manage choices and relationships to survive.

My personal preference is The Walking Dead because I like story and character dynamics. The action is minimal but the intensity is always high, if that makes any sense. I've never cursed out loud so much playing another game than I have in this one when it asks me to choose between two awful choices in a limited amount of time.
