No, it just makes no sense to buy an x360 now. Wii U is out this year, next XBox generation is out within a year. Why buy a console at the end of its lifecycle? It's over.
Console launched back in 2005. This is just too old of a platform to justify going in now.
This isn't about "fanboyism" this is about getting a good deal. And the good deal will come as soon as Wii U is released and then intensify with the launch of the next XBox.
These are no longer far off or speculative events. They are very proximate.
Buying a 360 makes no sense unless you are really invested in the ecosystem.
Even then, it's not a "good deal" but is instead a purchase made because of specific need for one.
As a slickdealer, i'd say that buying a console at the end of it's cycle is one of the most cost effective ways for entertainment. You have an entire library available to you and you aren't buying games at full cost and can save a bundle. Just because you've had the luxury to play all the newest games since launch doesn't mean everyone has.
If you're looking for cutting edge gaming then go PC, the WiiU already has outdated specs with half of it's launch library for the next 6 months as games that have already been released for the past year.
What is an ideal price for a 250gb Xbox for black Friday?
Last Black Friday, they all went for $199 for the 250GB with Halo Reach and Fable 3 and all. The 4GB were $199 too with a bunch of random games, gift cards, controllers and other stuff. They were all priced around $199 mark.
The guy that said ps3 sucks doesn't own one or anything other than an xbawks. Ps2 sold more than the Xbox 360. You every wonder If they took into account the multiple rrod xbox purchases and if microsoft purposely made faulty hardware to make money. Xbox cost 200-300 still. I agree, might well wait for next Gen or get a wii u.
Sounds like two years of Microsoft selling software to an already large and expanding user base while not having to sell new hardware at a loss. With the Wii U's graphical capabilities being marginally better, I fail to see how it's a bad move.
