I don't get it... This thing sells for dirt cheap, ships from from overseas. How much money is the seller expecting? Is it even worth his or her time? I mean seriously, how much money could they possibly be making from one necklace?

I got 1. What the hell right? If I hear a friend or future gf likes owls, bam!

Edit : 2 my friends likes owl so what the hell I'll just give one to her.

I am guessing the seller has a truckload of these and prob cost him/her .10 US cents.
Shipping cost from China is supposedly very low. Tack on amazon commission and the seller prob profits 30-50 cents a pop.

Well don't know about lead, but there is a strong chance CADMIUM might be in these little owls. I have no need for these, but found the thread title strange (so thats why I'm here). Not planning on a purchase, but for those who might here is some addition info on previous recalls;

Seems like a nice item for the price, just be aware of the chance of what may be included especially when coming direct from Hong Kong.

what the hell, i'm pretty buzzed already, in for 2 from the ebay seller for 1.98 using my free $25 ebay gift card i got for signing up to "freeshipping.com"

bought two of these a while back for $1.50 each cut the chain off them, and added a jump ring and ball chain connector to use as ceiling fan pulls in my 4yo dd new owl themed room! They are super cute and the colors are perfect!

Speaking of owls, did anyone here get into that whole Molly & McGhee thing a couple years ago - the barn owls in Vista, CA?

It was live on Ustream and was strangely addicting watching the eggs hatch and daddy owl bring back all sorts of critters for the babies and Mom to eat. The snake was a bit much.

Even though the owner of the property was beyond greedy - he must have made at least a million from selling books and other crap he copyrighted. Nothing wrong with making money, but he was SO annoying about it.

There are TONS of super cheap necklaces, bracelets, rings etc on Ebay. For PENNIES and free shipping.

This one arrived in 3 days from the east coast, its cute!

I ordered a few different but similar items from ebay the same day. I would expect the one we both bought to come around the same time as my other ebay purchases. I have found that generally items from Hong Kong come a week or so faster than China and to expect a minimum of 2 weeks. They can always surprised you though!
