Savings Account
What's a good savings account with no fees or requirements such as minimum first deposit or balance, monthly activity etc. Right now I use Charles Schwab for my Banking but they don't offer a savings account, and would like a separate account where I can deposit and save money without touching it. It works better for me to have 2 accounts then try to restrict spending on my checking account.
I don't plan to or want to do any kind of investing, I don't plan to have much money in it as some on here have posted as much as over 100K in savings... I don't plan to add more than 100$ to the savings account at any one time as there is no specific "goal" for this savings, I'd just like to have money saved up for a rainy day, and honestly only use Charles Schwab for the lack of any fees and the ATM credits at the end of the month. Plus their customer service is pretty good.
And after looking at other threads where the discussion gets so complicated and convoluted, I just want to point out that 1) I am not expecting to ever have over 5K, let alone over 100K in ANY account, ever. 2) I do have direct deposit but would rather be able to decide when and how much I deposit into this savings account.
