i3-3220 3.3ghz Ivy Bridge Cpu 109.98 Shipped @ Superbiiz AC
This is 118.99 + 5.99 shipping minus 15% (15$ max) with code CRUNCH15 = 109.98 shipped! This is cheaper than microcenter! Possible CA TAX. This has HD2500 graphics, apparently only does pcie 2.0 (bummer), but should be 5-10% faster than an i3-2120 from what I have seen and will support ddr3 1600mhz ram without overclocking (ahem, h61 chipset users!). You will need to make sure you have your motherboard bios updated to one that supports this chip, so check it out first.
Nothing really especially if use a dedicated graphics card. The chips ending in 5 like that are really only important to hackintosh builders because that means they include hd3000 (if its a sb chip) or hd4000 (if its an ib chip) both of which are supported in mac os. This means no fussing with a separate graphics card in the build and being able to make mini itx builds.
If you are looking to move away from the quad core do consider what you do on your computer and think about if those extra 2 cores you have now are of benefit. If not jump ship to intel low power and high ipc mean it is boss in single and dual threaded apps (still majority of what people use)
ah,thanks guys.! - somehow din't notice that part. Ya, I do use IGP. No external card. So,looks like I need to wait for 3225 . I can overclock - but its 140W cpu, this one is 55W. Also I wanted to go to miniITX form factor instead of uATX (now). There is no board for AMD that supports 140W afaik.
