Dont like the fact that they put an expiration date on the reward drinks now. Used to be no expiration.
-------Um, there has always been an expiration on the free drink postcards. Here, I just did a quick Google and found this: A postcard with an expiration date of 2010[blogspot.com]
From the FAQ: Q: Will I still get to choose when I get my free drink or food reward? I like to choose something special and I don’t want my free reward to automatically deduct when I’m not expecting it to.
Answer: Yes. You are in control of your rewards! Even though your free reward is loaded onto your Card, you have to tell your barista when you want to use it. It does not deduct automatically on your next visit.
$0.50 refills only count for stars until you reach the Green level. Dos not work if you are already at gold level.

Reason: add link to program change details
Yes, sad to see that go...I made use of that several times a year. However, I actually just made Gold yesterday, so the free drink after 12 instead of 15 will probably make up for the loss.
Are you sure of that or are you just speculating?
Well I added pumpkin sauce (which isn't a syrup) to my coffee yesterday for $0.60 on a free refill and I earned a star. I believe any transaction that isn't free earns a star, so with these changes, the $0.50 charge for syrup on a free refill should earn a star.
