Check out the extension cords in-store when you pick up your trimmer. There are a few on sale, and there might even be a few old or odd ones on clearance. Might not be any 100 ft, but you might find a 50 ft for a really good price and be able to get two.

Same here, I went through it too fast and bought at wrong price and now I'm trying to cancel....which is always a nightmare with sears....boy have they turned to crap...they say I have to call back during normal business hours and jump through more hoops....

I officially hate sears.....

They are garbage, bought one a couple years ago and returned it right away.

I attempted to edge my lawn the line would literally break every 5 seconds. Several times when the line broke, it broke inside the unit, so the bumb release thing didn't work. I've never used such a piece of junk. Get something that uses a more powerful motor and thicker gauge cord. A gas one or higher amp electric one is best.

Or if you are getting it to edge your lawn, get an edger, it does a much better job. Got a black and decker edger on craigslist for 10$, and it works great!

At this price its a great buy.

It is heavy, and not balanced real well, by it is powerful. Original string will break because its I would guess its old. Once you go through the reel a bit it will stop breaking so easy.

Cons....Heavy...Bump string advance not auto feed.

Stay away, these cheap electric trimmers are more trouble than they are worth. I bought one of the Homelite ones from HD when the fuel lines in my Toro took a crap (didn't have time to get in and replace them) and I absolutely hate it. It doesn't dispense the line properly, every few minutes I have to open the head and manually dispense it, not to mention dragging a 150' cord out every time is a pain in the ass. Drop the money on a decent battery powered unit or a decent gas powered string trimmer.

My wife has a small electric trimmer similar to this one. I have a gas one that is much more powerful, but she doesn't do well with small engines (can't get it started, etc.) and prefers the electric.
This would easily do the job on a small yard, but cannot compare with a gas trimmer for power.
