For those not in the know, this is a rebadge of the famed - and discontinued - Ryobi BT3000/3100 series table saw which was regarded as an accurate and, with the router table accessory, portable muilt-tool workstation. It has its own forum [bt3central.com] and a fairly large aftermarket and mods community. The folding stand IMO is worth its weight in gold for someone short on space.

I've been tracking this saw for well over a year and this is by far the lowest I've ever seen it. History shows it's been lower but that was ages ago (long before I ever wanted one) and Sears has steadily raised the MSRP since. For the longest time, this has been sitting at $509-525 so at $365 I personally think this is a rather hot deal.

Price breakdown as follows:
  • $499.99 - 15% off select tools (no code, just add to cart) = $424.99
  • Apply code SAVEONTOOLS to take another $60 off = $364.99
  • Add your state tax + S&H or choose free in-store pickup

Total for me including CA tax and pickup in-store was $396.93. I almost bit at $424 but the $60 off code made it a no-brainer.

No chance of this box fitting in a civic. It's huge, like 3/5 a refrigerator box

It might be possible if you take it out of the box. This from the newest review:

"Packaging was superior and all parts arrived 100% (which I find rare in this category). Lots of solid styrofoam headed to landfill, though."

I'm going to pick it up in a Maxima. If not possible I'll borrow someone's SUV.
Oh jeez well looks like I'll have to rent a truck or something to do this. Gotta use a truck anyways to clear out a bunch of crap thats been in my garage and in need of going to the dump anyways.

Does the Chase Freedom 10% off Sears also apply here?

I am about to completely refinish most of the interior of my home and replace a fence. This will certainly come in handy.

I used FW 4.0% cashback for a little more money off, ($14.68 for me) so this was an even better deal.

The complete total after all discounts and cashback should be around $385.xx

I went to the BT3 forum and one user mentioned this about the blade guard. Credit to GerryR on their forum.

"The saw shown in the picture of the link provided shows the model with the older blade guard. They came out with a newer version that is more like the Shark Guard. The difference is considerable, so if you order one, be sure to ask if is the newest version. Sears is known for "unloading" older models without letting anyone know the newer versions are out. I posted pictures of the saw with the newer guard here:

Just thought I would mention it."

Thanks Op.

Anyone picked it up from a store yet? I've been waiting for the pickup email since I ordered it 8 days ago?

UGH! Can't believe I missed out on this. I bought one a few years ago and they are GREAT. I'm just a homeowner/hobbyist. A carpenter just visited and said this would be perfect for his trailer, given the power, smoothness, and router capability. If I had seen this last week, he would have a new toy for his trailer.

Crap, how did I overlook this! I've been looking for a good table saw for some upcoming housing projects.

Anyone has finished the assembly? I finished mine and noticed the surface of the miter table is not leveled with the rest of saw table? Is that by design? If that's the case, then I won't be able to use it as part of table saw cutting support, which makes a much smaller table area.
