Some help with student loans

If she is a resident how is she choosing not to work for the private sector. What i said was with additional costs and a higher tax bracket she wouldnt be any better off in a private practice. You cant exactly finish residency and move into your own furnished clinic with a few complement of staff and a full schedule of patients

They made a mistake and were telling her that the only resolution was to defer and take an interest hit. We dont mind paying a bill but when that bill is incorrect and they try to tell you that the only way to fix the problem is for us to do something that would cost us more money in interest in the long term is borderline absurd. Any normal run business would have apologised for the mistake and simply said they would refund the overpayment (in the first phone call)

Anyway the ombudsman called and as per what we had suggested from the onset. Direct loan will simply deduct the amount we owed from the overpayment and refund the rest.
