Deal Details

Hi folks, this is my first deal post so hope I followed the format correctly.

Epson.com [epson.com] has the extremely well-reviewed refurbished PowerLite Home Cinema 8350 1080p Projector for $849.15 after the coupon code WOW15.

This projector normally sells for between $1149-1299 new and comes with a full 2-year warranty. According to several forums I've read, Epson has even extended the warranty on the bulb out to the full two years as well, although YMMV. I received the code in an email and it stated that it was not valid for Clearance Center items, although it worked for my order.

Cheers!

It lists the warranty on the bulb as 90 days. I've been interested in this projector for awhile. What are the chances there will be a deal like this on a new on BF?

It went for $800 at Fry's last Black Friday. Keep in mind that you'll probably have to pay tax on that since it'll be B&M.

True, the official bulb warranty is for 90 days. However, everyone that has reached out to Epson after that period with a dead bulb has received a new one. At least from all of the dozens of posts I've read at projector review sites.

I've been looking for while and this equals the best deal on a refurb I've seen with the best new deal being around $1000.

EDIT: Apparently I missed the $800 BF deal. Was that for new or refurb?

This is almost the same as the 8100 model.

I love my 8700UB. The black contrast is awsome.

I have a Fry's about 100 miles away but I'm not going to drive on black friday for a projector. I guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed for an online deal like that.

This seems to be a sweet projector although those refurb Optoma's have tempted me repeatedly. The lens shift on this is key though. This refurb has a two year warranty...hmm. It's tempting but BF is so close. What to do.

while an outstanding deal it was only b&m so more $860 however that hasn't been seen since. this is a really good price for a refurb however just as a fyi i bought mine new for less than $1k and love it on my 120" screen

So this refurb comes with the same warranty as a new one? Two year on the machine and 90 days on the bulb? That would make it pretty darn close to just as good as a new one and it seems after looking at a history of these on slickdeals that the price has not been this low. Other than that black friday anomaly at brick and mortar Fry's. Ugh..maybe I should jump on it.

I hope that people realize that at each store there were no more than 10 units on BF. I was able to get to one in time even after being ~50th in line. BF B&M deals are very YMMV
