Can you explain for everybody what a Citi Forward Card and Citi Dividend Card is?

Citi Forward is a 1 ThankYou point per dollar spent except enteratinment/restaurants which are 5 points per dollar. Dividend is a 1% cashback card with rotating quarterly categories like Discover and Chase Freedom. To answer OP, hit or miss to combine the limits. You can ask them to move over all but the min $500 to your Dividend card, then close Forward. Followed by a product change from Dividend to Forward. YMMV as some report success with PC/CL changes and others are declined.

Because he wants the account age and positive history from his Dividend card to stay on his credit report, but he wants to have the higher limit and better rewards offered by the Forward. I'm assuming that his Forward account was recently opened and may be drawing down his average age of accounts.

However, OP, if it is the case that the Forward is drawing down your average age, it may be worth it to keep the card open. If one account is enough to draw the age down (significantly), it is a sign you don't have enough accounts open and/or are too heavily relying on certain accounts/lenders.

I had many Chase credit cards and when asked, they were happy to move the credit line from one account to the other. I assume Citibank will do the same if you ask them.

citi has an internal policy that the cant transfer credit limits at this time right now.
I currently have 4 card from them.
The only way they transfer credit lines right now is if you apply for a new card

Thanks everybody for the replies. I think i have too many credit cards for myself to manage. There is no point to keep the Dividend Card (also have Discover and Chase Freedom) but i don't want to drop the long history of this card by closing it.

why not just keep the Dividend Card and only put your Netflix bill on it that way you show the credit card company you use it once a month for $17.99 and then auto-pay it the day after it posts that way they won't close the card because you use it and it is not costing you by losing rewards points, and you keep your established history with the card
