Deal Alert for Popular Deals & More Thumbs Up

Hi! I was wondering if there is (or there are plans for) being able to set up a deal alert for when a thread becomes a Popular Deal, or hits a certain # of replies, or views, or smthg (w/o going into the specifics of what makes a "Popular Deal")?

Also, the rating system, and deal alert thresholds in particular, could use a little tweaking. Right now, the next highest choice is a 5 TU rating - the next trigger is Front Page, a huge jump! SD has come a long way in popularity. A rating of 5 TU's (= 10 user's TUs?) might have meant a lot in the past, but with deals regularly reaching the 10's and 20's, and some popular deals garnering ratings in the 100's of TU, it would be helpful to capture this relative range across the site, and in deal alerts in particular. Deals & Steals, an iPhone app made for SD, has 3 levels: 1-9 TUs is the lowest level (10-29 is the 2nd, 30+ is in red). Would it be possible to capture this kind of range in SD deal alerts, too?


Even better, is there a SD page for site statistics, like what percentage of deals make _____ ratings, etc.?
