What a coincidence of timing!

This shouldn't be news to anyone, and neither should have been the Romney video.

the difference is, this is a good thing.

Romney agrees with Obama--remember, he's out there saying that his tax cuts will benefit the middle class rather than the rich. That means he supports our progressive tax code, which theoretically hits the rich harder than the middle harder than the poor. The point of the progressive tax code is to see that those with the most pay the most because they get the most from government. Then that money is used to give the middle and poor a shot at getting rich, by giving them access to education, roads/airports/etc..., gov't funded research, etc...

the government cannot do that, even if it is the most tyrannical of centrally controlled states. Such goals require a centrally run police state, which has failed in doing what you say it should do every time it was tried in every country in history....that is why the Founders wanted to make sure the government ensured equal OPPORTUNITY, not equal OUTCOMES.

sorry, I am unwilling to forgo my freedom, in the quixotic attempt to ensure "no losers", which will fail anyway, and all we will end up with is loss of freedom....You might think you would like to live under such an authoritarian regime, but most others do not, and you will too, once you discover (after handing all your freedoms over) that it is a mirage.

Every single $ in taxes that are collected are "redistributed", be it under Reagan, Bushes, Clinton, or Obama.

That video from Obama has been out since 1998, thats 14 years ago. Nice to Fox to report it as breaking news... can you say desparate... What's next, "Fox Breaking News, Obama caught promoting a socialist agenda in his 3rd grade english paper"

This sounds so sexy and thinky.......like "Laffer curve" was a few years ago and like "trickle down."

As I said, every single dollar that the gov collects is taxes, it is distributed. That is unavoidable.

There is no such thing because people are not equal. Some are more able, some are less able.

Just be thankful you live in a capitalist economy where the only means a more-able person can become successful is by serving others (unless of course they go into government ).
