Not sure, I don't remember what my receipt says for the Mark II I purchased a few months ago. I did have to send it to Canon after using it for a while (bent a CF bin, nothing to do with BeachCamera who was great to deal with). Canon had no problem with the receipt/wrranty card etc. FWIW.

Rebates are processed differently, so that's another story.

When the body was going for refurb at 20% off, it was like $1408+tax. Thats the cheapest I have seen it. Body only, I think the cheapest I've seen is like $1800. With the kit, its been as low as $2400-2450, with re-selling the kit lens you'd get it to $1600 or so.

If you can sell the printer for $100, this would be about the best deal you can get, when you add in Ebay Bucks and the rebate

Yeah, the beauty of this deal is that, with the printer, you get the same price from an authorized dealer, which can matter in case you get a dud. And then with printer selling it gets even cheaper.

I guess it could go lower, I'm just not sure by how much.

The only downside is the crappy AF system, but you're using the center point 90% of the time anyways.

Great deal after rebate, I guess they are trying to make room in their warehouse for the new D600. This is a great FF camera even for a 4 year old tech. If you are not highly invested in Lens for canon, I would really look into the D600. It might be the best entry level FF in the market,and pack full of feature that you will not be able to find in the MK2 and the new upcoming 6D.

I love my Canon lens so I will not be switching to Nikon anytime soon, but if I had to choose as of right now which body is ahead of the game I would say Nikon is giving more for the money. Lets hope they do so with their lens too. I hope canon learns their lesson from this year as they have been defeated to the market by Nikon, as they are playing catch up, and bring something new to the table for their body down the road.

This is a phenomenal camera. I've taken some absolutely amazing pictures with it - the latest blew up nicely to 24x36 without any artifacts or pixelation.

depends on the required dpi

The price is good but the 5DII is pretty ancient. Nikon just released the full frame D600 with a new sensor, 39pt autofocus for $2100 list. Maybe Canon will match that soon.
