Tempted to say the least.

I was planning to wait for the 6d but to be honest, the wifi, gps, and minimal sensor quality improvements are not worth $500 and 3+ months of waiting to me

Why do you think they run this through ebay and not put it right on their own site? You can get only a "body only" from their site for $1899, but no body+printer package. Don't they have to pay ebay fees? Sure would make it more clear-cut on the rebate issue.

On the fence on this one. I got a 7D just to do video (most of my still photo gear is Nikon) and like it, but I could sell it and pick this up. Argh... curse you, SD! #FirstWorldProblem

I believe this is a daily deal. So ebay either cuts the fees or even helps the seller with some extra incentives.

Yep, the code made me bite the deal. $1499 is a similar price to the refurb I ordered from Canon a few months back ($1407+tax after 20% discount) and had to return because it was defective. I didn't order another refurb becuase it was out of stock and then Canon lowered the CLP discount.

I didn't see a restriction in the fine print on the rebate form, but if I got this same rebate a year ago with my 7D (through a different retailer, in case that matters), does anyone know if I'm ineligible to get this one?

Just read the fine print of the rebate form before biting. "This promotion is valid only for purchases made at Beach Camera or beachcamera.com or buydig.com store or directly through such dealer’s own website. This promotion is NOT valid for purchases made through a marketplace, auction or other third-party website portal."

Doesn't that mean buying through eBay won't allow you to get the rebate?

Very tempted. I just sold my 7D to get the 5Dmkii. Now this shows up. I'm worried about the rebate mess however.

Good idea... though I'm having a hard time finding the promo code (is it the "Dept" line in the address you send the form to?), but then again I also missed the "(Limit 1 claim per household)" on the third line from the top of the form (I thought it would be in the fine print below). Still unsure if that only applies to the rebate on one bought through Beach, or if that's regardless of seller.
