Good thing I'm a digital packrat... probably a PDF stuck in some folder somewhere. Edit: I looked up rebate forms from different retailers and found (on the rebate form PDF): Beach Camera -- Dept. 819101178 B&H Photo -- Dept. 819101172 Adorama -- Dept. 819101042 They all seem to go to the same PO Box and address, but with these slightly different Dept. codes. Opinions? Last edited by pauladams11; 09-20-2012 at 11:38 AM.. |

What amazes me is that my primary account (with close to 40k activity in last 7 years) never gets any coupon |

This is tempting. I've been looking for a good 5D Mark II deal and this is it, but now with the 6D and Nikon d600 I'm not 100% on this as I was.
I can't decide if I want to jump ship to the d600 since the specs on that are nice, but that means all new equipment... |

Waiting for a reply from Beach Camera about the seeming conflict between the fine print on the rebate form (... "NOT valid...auction site...") and the text of their listing. Maybe a phone call would be easier. P.S. sorry for bloating the thread. EDIT: Just realized that the 5Dm2 won't shoot video at 60fps. I *love* the ability to do smooth half-speed slow-motion output, which I have with my crop-sensor 7D... not sure why they didn't include that functionality on the 5Dm2. Did it come out before the 7D? Anyway, might be a deal-breaker for me. ![]() D600 too expensive for now... I'll wait for some deals/rebates... it does shoot at 60fps video, though. Been waiting for a good deal on the Mark II. Thumbs up OP!
I called BeachCamera. The guy said the invoice will come from BeachCamera so there will be no problem using the rebate. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee! EDIT: I was wrong about the package deal on the beachcamera site. They included the $200 rebate in their final price. ![]()

I guess it really depends on the invoice of beachcamera but in the rebate form it states: "Offer does not apply to purchases of refurbished or used products nor for a camera and printer packaged together and sold for one price."
Can anyone who previously purchased packaged deals like this, confirm that the invoice shows the final price is a combination of 2 prices, and not just 1? thanks! Last edited by gnod; 09-20-2012 at 12:09 PM.. |
