It seems that BB's getting random stocks during the week and usually last half a day or 1 day before they switch back to unavailable. So if you see an "in store only" showing up for your store better get over there asap to try and get one. I've been busy the past few days to get to my local ones, but a couple of them had changed from "unavailable" to "in store only" in the afternoon, but sold out by the time the stores closed. So waiting on next shipment to hit my stores.

It was a promo that BB ran quite a few months back that when you registered your phone# and when it was time to upgrade to a new phone until 12/31/2012 you get a $50 gift card which you can apply instantly at time of purchase towards your phone. It applied to any service you had i.e. ATT, Tmobile, etc.

I check stock around me every now and again and no Best Buy near me has it still. Which sucks, because I have the $50 freedom promo for both of my lines PLUS I bought 2 x $200 gift cards via the Amex deal to save another $40. So I have a great deal lined up, but they actually have to have some iPhones to sell me.

my stores keep saying that they have "none". even though the stock checker says they do, and it changes so I know it's not a mistake.
freaking annoying.

When it shows in stock did you call the store or actually went to the store? There could also be delay with the online inventory where they have sold out already and it hasn't updated yet. I would head over to BB asap when you see the stock status change from "unavailable" to "in store only" which means they just got stock.

Bestbuy systems update very quickly. and it's very accurate for high priced items like the iphone 5, and preorders don't show in the inventory.

I'm pretty sure they're just repeating that line without checking, and I can't do anything because they just refuse to physically check.
I think i'm going to upgrade to some crappy phone, get that gift card, buy a kindle card and then return it. I'm just going go get the iphone from apple.

Well I'm waiting on my local store to get stock so that I go and see if they actually have it.

Were you able to do the AMEX promo twice? With one card or two?

BTW, just got my statement used chat ant they waived my activation fee. I'm one happy kid. Best Buy was worth the wait for the deal I got.

I did the deal twice, with 2 cards. My card and my wife's card have different numbers. Still waiting for iphone availability. If it is not out soon at my local best buys, I'll get a Samsung GSIII, Samsung Note 2 or LG Nexus 4 phone. Can't wait much longer!

I have been on the waitlist for my iPhone 5 since October 1st, and have been calling Best Buy for the status on it ever since. When do you guys estimate that BBY will have these phones in stock or atleast fulfill all waitlist orders?

Any idea would be appreciated as I am really anxious to get this device
