Donna at the AT&T Jacksonville store was able to price match Saveology's offer, bundle free! She also confirmed she can do this in any state.

True that, but where I live it's either Comcast who throttles you or AT&T who doesn't. I wish I could get verizon fios, greenlight, or even charter. If anyone knows of a better deal in the Charleston, SC area let me know.

Dont ever trust ATT, take me as an example. They promised that i have free modem and free installation fee when they ask to switch to them. Okie that sound good to me since i need a faster internet services as well, so i signed up for it. Actually, they lied to me about it and charged me a total of 149.00 for installation fee and 100 for the modem. I called customer services and ask them what the hell is going on with their promise? They research and research and said they found nothing, so they said a specialist will call me back. After 2 days, nobody calls me back, so i called them again to ask. The guy couldnt do anything for me until i said i cancel the services and not paying a damn cent for them, he sent me to the specialist and she was able to credit me those fees. I thought everything was fine, but then a week later, they disconnected my services. I called them to ask what happened, and they said i didnt pay my services and installation fee. What the hell? i was so fed up with them, and i told them i was credited back, after put me on hold for an hour, they said what i said is correct and restore my services. Thought everything is fine, but then today i received a bill from them said im owed them 321.97, and the due date is sept 29th or my services will be disconnected again. Damn it, i have to call them again. This is just my two cent, please be aware with ATT. When im out with this contract, i will never ever use ATT again.

Yeah, ATT plays games too often with the bill. Then, on top of that, you have to play that "what's the latest special" game whenever your "promotion" runs out. It's an endless mindf#3k.

LOL the reps are so shady. They'll say and agree to anything just to get the commission, especially because there's no paper trail.

I have had ATT for a while. Its not bad, no complaints. You have to watch out with the new contracts because they might be capped per month. Before I had 1 year for 25$ a month. After that was done my bill doubled. I called in to get the latest promotion and they said they are phasing out DSL and everything is going to be uverse. I could get get double the speed for 30$ a month. Sounded great but I did some research. First, uverse is DSL, its just VDSL instead of ADSL. VDSL means no 3rd party equipment, and the 2wire boxes are not as good as they once were. They told me everything would be fiber with uverse and in reality it doesnt matter if you have ADSL or uverse its fiber to the substation and copper to your home. They don't run fiber in your home. They tried to tell me uverse would make my TV stations look better but the problem is most of the content is really only 720p. I rarely watch TV anyway but they went on and on for 20 minutes about how I needed it for TV I don't watch.
So I told them to just cancel and I would get cable where I can buy my own 3rd party modem and they offered me 5$ off. I said no, then they offered me 15$. I said no. Finally they offered me 50% off so I was back at 25$ a month for the same DSL service I had before (that was supposedly being phased out. even though the new stuff is still on copper and a different form of DSL) Took me 3 calls. I think my problem was you have to get to rentention instead of customer service.

thats why every time when i talked to CS, I always asked them to make a note about today's conversation under my account for future reference

After reading everyone's comments I have to admit I was a little nervous Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) so I called AT&T to verify my order this morning. Everything checked out like the sales person promised: 39.95 for monthly service, 24mbps, no install fee, no modem charge.laugh out loudlaugh out loud (whew)

We unfortunately have come to expect this sort of behavior from AT&T. Give me a break!
