So does it only makes ice cream out of frozen bananas? No milk to mix it with? Can we put in frozen milk and vanilla and expect it to churn up vanilla ice cream?

It says it's eligible for ship to store, but on the cart page, I don't see a ship to store option.

I have one too and it's awesome. You don't need anything but frozen bananas and it comes out with a very soft serve-like texture, with only a mild banana taste. You can throw other fruits in there, but stuff like strawberries hold more water than bananas, so you end up with something a bit icier (the texture isn't quite as appealing).

Some quick caveats - you have to freeze the bananas for at least 24 hours beforehand, and you have to let them thaw about 10 minutes first. Also, you have to freeze only extremely ripe bananas (green ones will apparently have a gummy texture and an off taste). I've had times where I've ran out of bananas and it's too bad you can't just throw quickly frozen bananas in there.

Supposedly you can make this same banana "ice cream" with a blender or food processor, but I hear the taste isn't quite as good. I think the special blade inside the Yonanas is the secret. It's definitely a deal at $30 if you like bananas or ice cream or have kids.

We made it in our food processor and it turned out perfectly, in case anyone wants to try it first.

I wonder if the food grinder attachment on a stand mixer would work
