Wow, I let this deal sit and it blew up while I was gone. Wish I pulled the trigger
 I was on the fence about this laptop, and I didn't trust my gut instinct. Didn't hit FP, but it was a good deal nonetheless |

I bought an Acer Timeline X 13.3 inch 1 year ago and my screen crapped out. Everything got inverted and the text became blurry and unreadable. Acer quoted a $199 charge to take it to one of their shops as it wasn't covered under warranty. Just thought I let anyone know about my experience in case they are wondering about the reliability of a laptop this cheap. Maybe your luck will be better.

The fact that NOBODY has even alluded to the secret low screen resolution (they hide that spec) is further proof that these manufacturers are going to keep feeding us garbage, technology several decades old. If you don't ask for it, they'll happily take your money without building up to bare minimums.

Just got one. Was back an forth, but for $380 w/tax I figured might as well. My old one crapped out 2 months ago and have been waiting. Pick it up tomorrow
