Samsung 24in 1080p LED Monitor - $179.99 @ Best Buy, B&M, YMMV

Is it just me, or have monitor prices been generally stagnant the past year or so? While my 24" monitor is not LED, it is a nice one, and I got it for $160 nearly two years ago. Big screen TVs since that time have gone down considerably - some 47" TVs can be had for a few hundred less. And yet 24" monitor prices are still in the same range. I expected by now we would be seeing 24" monitor deals often in the $120 or so range.

I know and look at what people are saying is a good deal for the Dell IPS monitors. They're good, but I'm not sure they're worth that much.

Glad I'm not the only one to think that Samsung is competing with Toyota in producing the sleekest looking sewing machines!

I don't get the Toyota reference, but that pic had me LMFAO. It's working great for MW3 on PSe and keeping my GF happy by not hogging the bedroom tv anymore. I only wish I had the direct comparison to the Sony tv to see which is the better buy....looks aside.

I'm going to see if this will work at my Best Buy.. will report back tonight. Hell, I understand it's not a great looker... but a pretty good deal.

One of the reviews on the Best Buy website notes that it rings up for $180 also. Unless it's OP, there's at least another instance of this happening.

Why do people pay this much for a TN panel monitor when you can get an IPS or MVA for the same price or a little more?

Prices actually went down especially for IPS and VA panels.

You gotta have quite an ugly taste to buy this one and that too at $180 even uglier, lol
