- The forms are pretty generic and look the same on most.
- You can press the submit button without entering any information and the form goes through thanking you.
- Generally a pop-up will appear after submission. Usually from MAC or Mary Kay makeup, Quality Health or Lifestyle Advantage. Sometimes a pop up will not appear for about a week if it's new.
- Most of the business' do not have a facebook page if you look at their web site. If they did, they would link it.
- Most of the fake free offer pictures have an account with cloudfront.net or dropbox.com Right click on the picture and press copy image URL to know.
- You will be encouraged to post the free offer on your facebook wall or they will tell you to post it here on Slick Deals or other "high traffic" sites.
- There's usually no mention of the business on their wall, what they sell, menu, etc. Example: There have been many fake offers by Presto's Pizza. The facebook site
makes no mention of the business itself, it only posts the fake free offers
- They will clone pictures from the real web site to make it look legit
- If you post anything negative about the offer being fake, your post will get removed and they will block you from posting anything. Any legit business will always explain if something is wrong.
- Misspelled words
- You might be offered another free offer that will lead you to another business on facebook with a fake free offer. It's another phishing facebook page they made.
