b&h deal is better for those in CA w/no tax or ewaste fee. unless buying directly from dell has some advantages?

Their warranty is only good for 1 year. I want 3 yr warranty included for that price which is $39.99 extra on their website.

LG and Samsung? Don't see many people raving about those brands for monitors. Am I missing something?

Nope, not them. He's talking about those who own 27inch IPS monitors that they bought from Ebay for $270-$400.

Good deal!

I have had my 24" Dell 2405FPW since it came out, its been great! I have nearly 60,000 hours on it now too. The colors seem just as good as they always have. I have used it for everything from word processing to gaming to movies.

It was $1000 more than the price of this current offer.

And worth every penny.

Here is a pic I had after it broke 50,000 http://i.imgur.com/AlXaJl.jpg

am a photo enthusiast...and starting to get serious with this hobby. ...I send my pics to labs for printing...

In terms of my needs, is this better or the ASUS PA248Q? OR should I get one of those wide gamut monitor like the Dell u2410?

(I use the computer mainly for photo editing, but also for everything else)

Thanks a lot!
There are already way too many "photographers" in the world....get a black & white monitor.
