Damn I'm too short. I'm only 5ft 6. I am an amateur looking to get a cheap bike to ride on trails with my gf for fun. Anyone have any recommendations? She also needs one and she's 5ft 3.

A single speed is great for a commuter with few hills. It will have ridiculously low maintenance and great durability. i question if this wheelset can take a pothole. then again for this price, who cares
|

I came in here to be a snob and say its a crappy bike but it looks like a great deal for the price. Most likely a low end hi-ten frame though.

Yellow tires are a joke. All high performance tires are black. Ever see a race car or motorcycle with non black tires?
Horizontal dropouts are also a joke. Much weaker than vertical droupouts, but require far less precision to make. |

been bike commuting every non-snow day for about 3 years. one summer i decided to buy a single speed on craigslist. with the hills on my ride, that only lasted about a month. now i need to sell it again.

dude, it's a casual hybrid bike, not a race bike. What do you expect for $160? Btw, if I only want to spend $200 for a single speed bike, I may get this instead: http://www.nashbar.com/bikes/Prod...4148_-1___ At least there are more sizes to choose from. |
