Great bike, I own one, have had it for a a few months now, over 300 miles on it, and it still runs just fine. Great bike for the price weighing in around 27lbs. with an aluminum frame, over the heavier steel ones.
i actually have this bike as well, and i don't really like it. i mean, i like how looks and how cheap it is, but it's not a good bike. if you're going to spend this much money on a bike, you're better off getting an 80s or 90s 10-speed off craigslist, then converting it to single-speed if that's what you want.
i ended up getting this bike for only $110 after they gave me a discount because it arrived scratched, and i still felt like i could have gotten a better bike off craigslist for that price. i was riding a 90s schwinn world sport before i got this (i sold it right before this bike came, bad choice) and i regret the switch. i've been shopping on craigslist lately to try and switch back to an older bike. just better build quality.
i was planning on getting a bike months ago but after researching and finding out that a decent multi speed bike runs about $600 (plus accessories and the cost of getting it tuned every so often) i kinda gave up on it.
i kinda like the idea of a cheap simple single speed...no shifters, derailers, tuning, parts wearing out or worries of a $600 bike getting stolen. so that brings up the question - how good is this bike? should i expect it to last 5+ years?
