Thread Details

I was there today, and the cashier told me they no longer accept the 10% off, then I tried the Harbor Freight, and was told you had to buy tools to get the 20%. The manager then told us that HD no longer accepts the lowes printable 10% off movers coupon. It would have saved only 9.00, but it's still 9.00.

Most Home Depots will not take coupons that you can print off, however they will always take the 10% off movers coupons that comes with a change of address form from the USPS, or any of the ones that come in other mailers

YMMV is from what my research tells me. I never tried it myself, seems for every 7 no's you get 1 yes. Not sure if it coming from district manager, or store manager. You would think if it was corporate it would be somewhere on the website, but it is not.

The movers coupon comes in the email now, and doesn't come in the mail.

Might be Lowe's sends the email and USPS sends the card. I just moved in the past month, and i have both. I changed my address first and the card came in. Then i signed up on Lowe's under my wife and the email came in.

Some locations i hear you can not get the package for change of address at USPS. For me, they asked me to do it online, i did and then at the end it asked me what coupons i want sent to me.

All post offices carry the change of address form. If they give you a hard time and tell you to fill out the online form just tell them your internet doesn't work or that it just gave you errors. I don't know how many times I've been at the post office and people have asked for 10r more of the packets and the employees give them out because they are paid for by the advertisers and not by the USPS.

My 2 cents: I know couple HD stores, which don't take Lowe's coupons at all - it's up to manager.
Some HD takes Lowe's coupons AND allow to use Pro Rewards discount, some don't.
And very few HD take expired Lowe's coupons.

So, try everything and good luck.

Don't know which ones you go to but they must be the a physical coupon and they always take them. I noticed last month they now even have a cheat sheet where they can just scan a barcode and the computer knows its a lowes 10% it even says lowes mover coupon so they no longer need managers.

Their are sites that sell both the electronic and hard copy. Not sure what I'm allowed to post here and too lazy to read the rules. But the biggest auction site I know of sells hard copies. I use a different site and get them for about $1 each when ordering 10.

My Home Depot also gave me a hard time. Even though it was a mover's coupon that I purchased from ebay. In any case, I just go to Lowes now. Lowes accepts them. It's Home Depot's loss. They should not be so stingy with coupons.
