Gun M1895 Nagant Revolver 7.62x38R $95.00 + S/H Wideners
I've been watching the prices on M1895 Nagant Revolvers for a while now, and they seem have settled in the $100 range. Aimsurplus and a half dozen other sites seem to want between $100-110 or more depending on the options. (Best of 5, Tula manufacture, etc)
Wideners sent out an email blast last week regarding these revolvers for $95.00 + S/H and fees. That's a bit lower than I've seen over the past year. This may either signal that demand is lower for them and they may drop, or that they are clearing out the last of the stocks for new ones to come in. I know that this year's supply of these revolvers have been very nice quality, so you're probably not going to get hurt at this price.

The revolver has a rich history in WW1 and WW2, and is still used to this day by many Eastern European and Russian security guards / police officers. 7.62x38R is not a powerful round by any accounts, but in military loads sits somewhere between .380 and .38spl. Being a 30 cal pistol round, it has light recoil.

As for ammo, the best current deal (if you are okay with corrosive surplus) are the 1092 round spam cans coming in from Russia. They typically run $320 + S/H, or if you only want a few boxes they are cheapest at Aimsurplus for $4.75 per 14 pack. Wideners has the same price for the 1092 round can, but much higher for individual packs, $5.75 per 14.
If you are afraid of running corrosive ammo however (scrub down very thoroughly after firing) wideners has an okay price for new manufacture PPU ammo at $23.00 a 50 round box. Not great, but another option.

Wideners is a great business and has always come through for me. I've ordered thousands of rounds of ammunition and dozens of magazines without any issue. If you have a problem with an order their support is the local business itself, and they seem very courteous and helpful.
Keep in mind that beyond the price of the revolver and shipping, you will either need a C&R license or a FFL to ship the revolver to, and if you go FFL route there will be a fee for the government forms they have to fill out. Typically anywhere from $10 to $30. If you have a friend who has a FFL, they may do you a favor and do it on the cheap or free.
