So, does that mean no Liquor?

I read this whole thread because I love Small Business Saturday...and in several places I see people mentioned an "American Express Gift Chain." Can anyone tell me briefly what that is? I Googled, but it takes me to a URL of a page with no content.

I get Liquor for xmas gifts every year and it worked last year.

IIRC, that was some promotion Amex had earlier this year or last. I forget what the real promotion was for. I think you had to buy something to qualify, unless you opted for the "mail in" option.

All I know is that I filled out about 20 letters/envelopes to sign up for the various promotions. I got a ton of gift cards and other freebies. Worked out well!
